Restore Canada Foundation ("we", "us") is responsible for personal information we collect through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to align with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you submit our contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number (if you provide one) and message you enter. We collect this only because you chose to send it.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It does not set cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across other websites. It records aggregate information such as page views, referring sites and general geographic region.

Our hosting provider records the IP address of every request to this site, and we use it to limit how often the contact form can be submitted from one address. We use it to keep the site available and to prevent abuse, not to identify you or to build a profile of your visit.

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we collect it

We use contact form submissions solely to respond to what you sent us. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with other organisations, and we do not add you to any mailing list unless you separately ask us to.

Our Discord server and other platforms

This policy covers this website. If you join our Discord server or use our YouTube channel, those platforms collect information under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. What you choose to share inside those spaces is visible to the other people in them.

Consent

Submitting the contact form is your consent for us to use the information to reply. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal and contractual limits.

Email we send

Consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we do not send electronic messages that require consent without having it. Any such message we send identifies us, gives our contact details, and includes a working unsubscribe mechanism.

How it is stored and who can see it

Form submissions are delivered to us by email and are not stored in a database on this website. Our email and hosting providers process this information on our behalf and may store it outside Canada, where it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

Your rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
